Jesus Trejo, NAC ROTW for third time

WHITINGHAM, Vt. - The Lesley University men's basketball team went 2-1 for the week and freshman center Jesus Trejo (Methuen, Mass.), a big part of the team's success, captured the North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Week honors for the third time this season.

Trejo averaged 12.0 ppg, 9.0 rbg, and had 3 blocks in the three games.  In two of the three games, he posted double digit scores.

In his most impressive performance against Castleton State College Friday night, Trejo finished with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 blocks in the 75-69 victory.  His effort came in front of a record number of fans at a Lynx basketball game as Lesley University's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee hosted its first Dorm Night, an event in which residential housing students and commuters competed for the highest attendance percentage at the game.

The Lynx will look to continue their success on Monday night, as they will take on Newbury College at 8:00 p.m. at home.
