CHICOPEE, Mass. - The Lynx dug themselves into a hole early against Elms College that they could not get out of.  The Lesley men's basketball team, for the second straight game, got off to a very slow start.  However, this time they could not overcome their first half shooting woes and Elms College cruised to a 109-73 victory.

The Lynx shot a meager 29.4% from the floor in the first half while Elms shot an astounding 63.6% from the floor.  The Lynx were able to put it together in the second half but it was too late as they trailed 57-29 at halftime.

In the past the Lynx were able to overcome slow starts by forcing a lot of turnovers and using their fast break offense.  However, the Lynx were able to force just 17 Elms turnovers.  The Lynx also lost the battle of the glass as they were out rebounded 48-29.

The Lynx were led offensively by Joe Chatman (Boston, Mass.) who put up 16 points.  Mark Stevens (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Sam Mead (Worthing, ENGLAND) contributed with 12 and 10 points respectively.

The Blazers used a balance attack in the win against the Lynx.  Renato Lindmets (Ludlow, Mass.) led the way with 22 points and Nathan Hawes (New Hope, Minn.), Randy Hite (Hartford, Conn.), Juan Galdon (Holyoke, Mass.) and Justin Davis (Huntington, N.Y.) added 17, 14, 13 and 12 points respectively.  John Ancrum (Harlem, N.Y.) added to his league leading total with 11 assists.
