Early offense by Clark too much for Lynx as they fall, 7-2

Worcester, MA- The bats of the Cougars were hot early on in the midweek contest with the Lynx, as they were able to take an early lead in route to a 7-2 victory. With the loss, Lesley moves to 6-8 on the year. 

 

Inside the game:

  • The Cougars jumped out to an early lead with a LoCastro double, scoring one.
  • From there, a 4 run inning capped off by a Keefe single moved the score to 5-0 in favor of the Cougars. 
  • Trevor Faison drove in the only two runs of the game for the Lynx, with a single in the seventh to drive in Boone Scherer and Justin Dennett.
  • Clark was able to respond however, as two more runs scored over the seventh and eighth inning provided insurance for the Cougars to pull away to the game's final score, 7-2.

The Lynx (6-8, 0-1) are back in action tomorrow, as they take to the road to face the Blazers of Elms. First pitch is set for 7pm.
