Worcester, MA- The bats of the Cougars were hot early on in the midweek contest with the Lynx, as they were able to take an early lead in route to a 7-2 victory. With the loss, Lesley moves to 6-8 on the year.
Inside the game:
- The Cougars jumped out to an early lead with a LoCastro double, scoring one.
- From there, a 4 run inning capped off by a Keefe single moved the score to 5-0 in favor of the Cougars.
- Trevor Faison drove in the only two runs of the game for the Lynx, with a single in the seventh to drive in Boone Scherer and Justin Dennett.
- Clark was able to respond however, as two more runs scored over the seventh and eighth inning provided insurance for the Cougars to pull away to the game's final score, 7-2.
Lynx Highlights:
- Adam Budorick was 2-4 on the day with a stolen base from the leadoff spot.
- Trevor Faison helped provide a spark for the offense, going 1-4 with 2 RBIs
- The bullpen of Kolten Moyer, Jaedon Harris and Nate Trudnich helped to keep Lesley in the game, going three innings on the mound and combining for 2 strikeouts.
The Lynx (6-8, 0-1) are back in action tomorrow, as they take to the road to face the Blazers of Elms. First pitch is set for 7pm.
