Lynx unable to keep up with Elms, fall 5-3

Holyoke, MA- The Lynx of Lesley drop to 6-9 following the loss to the Blazers of Elms on the road at Elms. 

 

Inside the Game:

  • It took just two batters for the Lynx to score the first run of the game, with Ian Dempsey driving in Adam Budorick with a single. 
  • The Blazers answered back the following half inning, with Roy doubling to score one. 
  • The Lynx tacked on two more in the top of the second to move the score to 3-1 following the Drew Gryniewicz single and subsoquent score on a passed ball. 
  • The Blazers came back in the fifth, driving in 3 to chase Lynx starter Roy Lenhard from the game. 
  • The bullpens of both the Lynx and Blazers held the game right where it was through the end, with the final score of 5-3. 

 

Lynx Highlights:

  • Pitchers Roy Lenhard, Jaedon Harris, Kolten Moyer and Patrick Teasdale combine for 15 strikeouts on the night through 8 innings pitched. 
  • Ian Dempsey went 2-4 on the night, driving in one. 
  • Harris, Moyer and Teasdale were lights out from the pen, going 3 1/3 innings without surrenering a run with 6 strikeouts. 
  • Drew Gryniewicz and Christain McElroy found their way on twice to help the Lynx offense. 

 

Up Next:

The Lynx (6-9, 0-1) will be back at home Sunday, 4/2 to take on the Owls of UMPI. First pitch of the double header is set for 11am at Minuteman High School.
