Defensive mistakes loom large in 6-5 defeat for Lynx

Franklin, MA- The Lynx drop to 8-10 on the year following their non-conference loss to the Bulldogs of Dean in extra innings. 

 

Inside the game:

  • The Bulldogs took an early lead against the Lynx, pushing across the first run of the game as the result of an error by the Lynx. 
  • Lesley battled back to tie the game with great baserunning, as a sacrifice fly by James Brandon helped push across Justin Dennett for the first run of the game for the Lynx. 
  • In the bottom of the fifth, the Bulldogs pushed across to more unearned runs to take the lead at 3-1. 
  • The Lynx rebounded the following half inning, with runs being driven in by Colby JacobsJames Brandon and Trevor Faison to give the Lynx a 5-3 lead. 
  • A single in the bottom half of the sixth by Dovidio brought the Bulldogs within a run at 5-4.
  • A ninth inning run manufactured by the Bulldogs tied the game, sending it to extra innings. 
  • After a few scoreless frames, the Bulldogs walked off with a single from McLaughlin.
