Pumphret, O'Donnell Earn NECC All Conference Selections

Marshfield, Mass.--  Seniors Ryan Pumphret and Daniel O'Donnell Jr. represent the Lesley Baseball team on the NECC All-Conference Postseason Honors, as announced by the conference Tuesday Morning.  The awards were voted on by the conference's nine coaches following the conclusion of the regular season. All nine institutions saw representation on the all-conference teams while Mitchell led the way with nine honorees, including sweeping all major awards.

Pumphret was named to the All-Conference First team in the designated hitter position, while also named to the All-Conference Second Team at first base.  Pumphret, recently named the Lesley Athletics Male Athlete of the Year at the annual athletics banquet Monday evening, is having a standout senior campaign for the Lynx.  He posts a .400 batting average, 21 RBI's, 7 homeruns (first in NECC), 42 hits, and 24 runs scored, all team high's for the 2019 season.  Defensively he shows a strong .967 fielding percentage in 61 total chances, and has helped turn 5 double plays.  In addition, Pumphret was also named to the Del Malloy Sportsmanship team. 

O'Donnell's team best 3.31 ERA earned him a spot on the NECC All-Conference second team.  He's tossed 51.2 innings and posted a 3-4 record in the regular season, while adding 3 saves to his resume. His 3 saves lands him a top the conference standings, while his ERA ranks him fourth in the conference overall. 

Mitchell's freshman, Dougie DelaCruz was voted as the 2019 NECC Player of the Year while his teammate, Roland Thivierge claimed Pitcher of the Year honors. Also representing the Mariners, is first year Ryan Solimine who was voted the Rookie of the Year while their head coach, Travis Beausoleil was named the Coach of the Year.
