After knocking in a career-high five RBI in a 5-2 win over Newbury College, Lesley University junior David Hersey (Wolfeboro, N.H.) has been named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week. Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations, Robb Modica, made the announcement today in the conference Weekly Report. This is the second time in Hersey's career he has been honored with the award after garnering the distinction last season on April 29th, 2013.
Hersey finished the day going 3-for-4 with two doubles and a single as the Lynx earned their second conference win of the season.

Hersey knocked in all five runs for the Lynx in a 5-2 win over Newbury on Saturday. The junior backstop launched a bases-loaded, three-run double in the top of the fourth inning before driving in his fourth RBI of the game with a double in the sixth. Hersey capped his offensive performance driving in an insurance run for the Lynx with an RBI singles in the seventh.
