MEET OVERVIEW:

WESTFIELD, MA. - The Lesley Men and Women's Cross Country teams ran in Westfield State's James Earley Invitational on Saturday morning.

INSIDE THE MEET:

• Vassar took the top spot in the men's 8K race with 17 points, with three of their runners coming across the line first and in six of the top ten spots in total. Springfield came next, at a distant 74 points.
• Zachary Spatz finished the the 8K first for Lesley. He came in 74th with a 34:31.6 time.
• The women's side had two 5K races and Smith took the top spot in the Lynx's race. Lesley finished 18th out of 24 teams in their group.
• Freshman Olivia Binette finished first for the Lynx, with the fastest 5K of her collegiate career. Binette finished 86th with a team of 21:09.9.
• Hannah Nangle came in next at 21:49 and Paulina Sandoval-Alvarez finished in 22:46. Katherine Graham finished at 25:56, with Katelyn Andrews coming in two seconds behind her.

The Lynx race in their final race of the regular season next Saturday, October 16th, in the Suffolk Invitational at Franklin Park.
