THE LEAD – Women's Volleyball hosted Anna Maria in a non-conference matchup last night, dropping the match 3-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Anna Maria took an early lead in the first set, pulling ahead 10-3. The Amcats continued to climb ahead due to a series of aces from Sarah Burt, and eventually winning the set 25-5.
- The second set went similarly, with Anna Maria pulling ahead early in the set forcing Lesley to try and battle out of the deficit. Lesley put 12 points on the board but weren't able to pull ahead, losing the set 25-12.
- Again, Anna Maria pulled ahead early snagging a nine point lead. Lesley battled back, coming within six points of the Amcats, eventually losing the set 25-18.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Emma Welch led the Lynx with six kills on the match.
- Rayann Fatahi followed closely behind with five kills, and seven digs.
- The Lynx amassed 32 digs on the match.
