Lynx Fall in Three Sets to Saints

GAME OVERVIEW:

BOSTON, MA. – The Lesley Women's Volleyball team dropped three straight sets to the Emmanuel College Saints on Tuesday night. The Lynx fall to 0-9 overall, while the Saints improve to 4-6.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • The Lynx kept pace with Emmanuel out of the gate, playing to a 4-4 tie in the first few serves of the opening set. From there, the Saints were able to string together runs of points and keep the Lynx off their backs. Rachel Coleman capped the set off with a seven point run that saw Anna Caristi pick up three kills in a row.
  • Emmanuel started the second set off stronger, going up 6-0 before Lesley got on the board. Caitlin Tannian later served a seven point run to put the second set out of reach. Emmanuel took that one 25-12.
  • The Lynx were able to put a few strings of points together in the third and final set, but they were not long enough to stave off Emmanuel's victory. Coleman had two aces and Caristi had three kills in the final set of the night.
  • Megan Lorenze led Lesley with six kills, while Sydney Hart had six assists. Caristi had eight kills for the Saints, with Sarah Hyacinthe adding seven. Coleman was the Saints leader in assists with twenty and Brigid Moriarty picked up six aces.

The Lynx finish out the month of September on the road against St. Joseph College (CT) on Thursday the 30th at 7 PM.
