Hart Picks up 15 Kills in Close Match to Anna Maria

GAME OVERVIEW:

MEDFORD, MA. – The Lesley Women's volleyball team played their best match of the season, but fell in three sets to the Anna Maria Amcats. The Lynx fall to 0-8 overall, while the Amcats advance to 3-6.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • The Lynx were competitive all night, battling to a 25-18 loss in the first set. They held an 11-9 lead before Bella Kozciak and Tabitha Franceshet scored ten of the next twelve points for the Amcats. Tallin Goldberg picked up two aces in the first set.
  • Anna Maria had an easier time in the second half, holding Lesley to only 13 points. They got out to a 10-2 lead, led by Ashley Sheehan, and never looked back. Sheehan had four aces in set number two.
  • The third set was a barnburner to the end, with Lesley forcing an error on Sarah Burt to bring it to a 24 point tie. The Amcats picked up the two points needed to win, but Lesley looked their best in the third set.
  • Sydney Hart dominated for the Lynx, converting fifteen total kills on the night, a career high. Goldberg picked up every assist on Hart's kills. Megan Lorenze also had three kills for the Lynx, while Burt and Ryann Hassett each had five for the Amcats.
