Lynx Fall to Falcons in 3-0 Sweep

GAME OVERVIEW:

NEW HAVEN, CT. – The Lesley Women's volleyball team lost in three sets to Albertus Magnus College on Thursday night. The Lynx drop to 0-4 overall, while the Falcons move to 1-6.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • The Falcons jumped out ahead in set one, taking an 8-0 lead early. A couple more small runs led to a 15-3 lead and Diana Kalman finished out the set with three aces for a 25-5 win.
  • Albertus Magnus again took an early lead, this time 6-0, in set two. Peyton Davis was the closer this time, picking up four aces as the Falcons took set number two by the same 25-5 score.
  • The Lynx were able to pick up a few more points in the third set, but the Falcons kept it rolling to win 25-8 and finish the match 3-0. Gabriel Clay picked up six aces over the final set.
  • Sydney Hart, Lily Sanpietro, and Norah Ciano each earned a kill for Lesley, while Elayna Beutel led Albertus Magnus with four. Jaiden Williams led the Falcons with eleven assists.

The Lynx host a tri-match at home on Saturady September 18th, playing Dean College at 1 PM and Framingham State at 5 PM.
