Lynx Drop Three Sets to Wentworth

GAME OVERVIEW:

BOSTON, MA. – The Lesley Women's volleyball team lost in three sets to Wentworth Insitute of Technology on Thursday night. The Lynx fall to 0-3 to begin the season, while the Leopards advance to 5-1.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • The Leopards jumped ahead in chunks in the first set. The Lynx kept up for the first few points, but Wentworth went on a ten point run propelled by five kills from Abby Warren. Warren finished with eleven totals kills on the night and led Wentworth to a 25-5 win in the first set.
  • Chaise Kukak opened the second set with four aces in a five point run for the Leopards. Some errors from Wentworth allowed the Lynx to score a few points, but Ema Thompson led the charge back as the Leopards took set two 25-9.
  • The Lynx started the third set on a 3-0, thanks to a kill by Tallin Goldberg and two errors by Wentworth. Sydney Hart picked up a kill as the Lynx held with the Leopards, staying within two points until Wentworth scored 17 of the game's next 18 points to close out the set 25-7.
  • Goldberg finished with two kills, while Hart had three and Megan Lorenze added one for Lesley. Warren and Thompson were the leaders for Wentworth, while Kukak added 14 assists and Jordan Champman had 13.
