Lynx Unable to Keep Up with Worcester State

GAME OVERVIEW:

WORCESTER, MA. – The Lesley women's volleyball team were beaten by Worcester State College on Wednesday night by a score of 3-0. The loss brings the Lynx to 0-2 to begin the season, while the Lancers move to 1-3.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • The Lancers put together an eleven point run in the first set to stretch out to a 14-1 lead quickly. Brooke Lamoth finished with three aces to win the set 25-5.
  • Worcester State went out strong again, this time embarking on a 22 point run to start the set. Sydney Hart picked up a kill, but the Lynx were too far behind to get anything going and the Lancers took set number two 25-2.
  • Hart and Megan Lorenze each had an early kill in the third set, but the Lancers were too strong for the Lynx and took the final set 25-4. Camryn Burgio led Worcester State with six kills, while Jess Rancourt had nine assists and Emily Laventure had ten service aces.
