Three Lynx Represent Tennis Team on NAC All-Academic Team

CAMBRIDGE, MA. -- The Lesley Lynx had three student-athletes from the women's tennis team named to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) All-Academic Team. The conference announced last week that a total of 177 student athletes representing twelve institutions and seven sports have been named to the Fall 2019 All-Academic Team. This marks the most student athletes to receive All-Academic Team honors since the fall of 2017.

In order to be eligible for NAC All-Academic Team honors, a student athlete must post a minimum grade point average of 3.50 on a scale of 4.00, must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, and must have competed in two NAC sport seasons. Student athletes who competed in men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, men's golf, women's tennis, and women's volleyball were eligible for the Fall 2019 award. Each institution is responsible for submitting eligible student athletes for the All-Academic Team.

Thirty-two All-Academic Team members also earned All-Conference honors for their excellence in athletics, including 18 First Team and 14 Second Team selections. Additionally, 26 members of the All-Academic Team were honored with roster spots on their respective Sportsmanship Teams.

Women's Soccer has the most honorees of the fall sports with 48 members. Husson led the conference with 46 total selections representing all seven fall NAC sports.

The Lynx were represented by women's tennis players Maddie Abbott, Annie Dai, and Mary Pulling.

The North Atlantic Conference currently has nine full member institutions including SUNY Canton, SUNY Delhi, UMaine-Farmington, Husson University, Northern Vermont University-Johnson, Northern Vermont University-Lyndon, Maine Maritime Academy, Thomas College, and UMaine-Presque Isle. Three associate members, Castleton University (men's golf), Lesley University and MCLA (women's tennis), also compete in fall NAC sports.
