CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Lesley women's tennis has been picked to finish in third place in the New England Collegiate Conference preseason coaches poll released Monday, garnering 25 points and one of six first-place votes.

Becker College topped the poll, collecting 30 points and three first-place nods. Only six points separated the Hawks in first place and Regis College in fourth place with 24 points. 

The Lynx return seniors Brenna Donovan, who went 5-2 in No. 4 singles, and Katie Side, who went a combined 5-4 between second and third singles in 2011.

Lesley and new head coach Doug Eng open the season a week from Thursday, on September 6 against WIT at Harvard.
