Lynx take three singles matches, fall 6-3

LONGMEADOW, MA -- In spite of winning the first, third and fifth singles slots, Lesley fell to Bay Path on Thursday, losing 6-3 in New England Collegiate Conference women's tennis action.

Junior transfer Hagar Memlies improved to 5-0 in her first season with the Lynx, beating Liana Loveitt 6-4, 7-6.

In first singles play, Lesley's Courtney Mullen topped Lauren Hangasky, 6-3, 7-6. Katie Side bested Symone Watson, 6-3, 6-3, for the Lynx only other victory.

Lesley falls to 4-3 overall and 3-3 in NECC play. The first-place Wildcats improve to 8-1 overall, 6-1 in the NECC.

Marty Morrissey's Lynx jump right back into NECC play, travelling Friday afternoon to Becker College.
