CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Lesley University (4-2, 3-2 NECC) blanked Newbury College (3-7, 1-5 NECC) 9-0 Saturday afternoon in New England Collegiate Conference women's tennis action. 

      In first doubles play, the Lynx team of Courtney Mullen (Springfield, OR/Marist High) and Hagar Memlies (Kiryat Tivon, Israel/Foothill College) scored an 8-0 victory over Kristen Conners (Riverside, RI/East Providence) and Stephanie Valentine (Pleasant Valley, CT/Saint Paul Catholic). Mullen topped Jennifer Swafford (Merrimack, NH/Merrimack) 7-5, 7-5 in first singles action, while Memlies bested Stephanie Ruffin (Waltham, MA/Waltham) 6-1, 6-0 in sixth singles play.

      Lesley's team of Michelle and Katie Side (Miller Place, NY/Rocky Point) recorded an 8-4 second doubles victory over Swafford and Alexandra Derderian (North Providence, RI/North Providence), with Michelle taking a 6-0, 6-2 count over Conners in second singles and Katie topping Valentine 6-1, 6-1 in third singles.

      Nicole Smith (Rindge, NH/Dublin School) and Brenna Donovan (Hingham, MA/Hingham) also scored doubles and singles victories for the Lynx.

      Marty Morrissey's Lynx return to the court on Tuesday at Becker College at 3:30 p.m.
