CHESTNUT HILL, MA -- Michelle Side's three-set victory over Kristen Conners in second singles play proved pivotal. Side took the first set 6-4, but Conners battled back for a 6-2 victory in the second set before Side staved off the comeback with another 6-4 victory.

Courtney Mullen and Katie Side also captured points for the Lynx. Mullen topped Jennifer Swafford 6-1, 6-4 in first singles action, while Katie Side bested Julie MacLeod 6-3, 7-6 in fifth singles play.

Two narrow Lynx victories decided doubles competition. The Side sisters upended Stephanie Valentine and Conners 9-7, and Mullen and Nicole Smith topped Alexandra Derderian and Jennifer Swafford, 8-6.

The Lynx return to action Tuesday night, playing host to Becker in NECC action at 6:00.
