Lynx Drop Doubleheader to Saints

GAME OVERVIEW:

MEDFORD, MA. – The Lesley Men's Volleyball team lost both games of a doubleheader against the Emmanuel College Saints on Tuesday night, both three sets to none. The losses brings the Lynx to 0-4 on the season, while the Saints move up to 10-6 on the season.

INSIDE MATCH 1:

  • Leonard Kim had a strong showing for Emmanuel, totaling eleven kills in match one. He picked up two kills early, while Patrick Mannion added two aces to get the Saints out to a 5-0 lead in set one. Devon Perelgut also had two aces in the first set, while Kim had one.
  • Lesley had more success in set two, scoring seven points with Marco Powells and Gabe McCrary each earning a kill. But the Saints were in control again, with Kim getting two kills and three aces this time around.
  • Emmanuel got out to a 15-0 lead in the third set, with Mannion serving them on the huge run. Mannion had three aces in the set and Leonard did most of his damage in the final frame. Mannion had seven aces to lead his team, while Jacob Aronov totaled twenty assists.

INSIDE MATCH 2:

  • This time around, Andrew Eringis led the Saints in kills. He had seven, while Kim added six and Daniel Keyes tied a school record with eight aces. Aronov again picked up twenty assists as the Saints coasted to three more set victories in the second match.
  • Marco Powells had two kills for Lesley to lead them in match two, totaling a team-high three over both games.

The Lynx head to Endicott on Thursday March 10th at 7 PM for a conference match.
