Lynx Battle Late, But Fall to Bulldogs

GAME OVERVIEW:

FRANKLIN, MA. – The Lesley Men's Volleyball team fell to Dean College three sets to none on Wednesday night. The loss brings the Lynx to 0-2 on the season, while the Bulldogs first win brings them 1-8 this season.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • AJ Genova and Malachi Howard helped the Lynx keep up with the Bulldogs early, staying within a 13-8 margin before a seven point Dean run served by Corey Jackson helped them pull away for good and take first set 25-12.
  • Dean was on top again in the second set, with Traijan Powell leading them to a 12-4 lead. Diego Harrington closed out the set with a nine point run that included three service aces.
  • The Bulldogs once again pulled out ahead early with a 7-1 lead in set three. Lesley managed to battle back late, keeping Dean from scoring more than a point at a time for six rotations near the end of the game. Genova served Lesley to within three points, but a kill by Hunter Meyer secured the win for Dean.
