Gators Sweep by Lynx in Springfield Invite Finale

Springfield, Mass. – The Lynx concluded their Springfield Invitational with a 3-0 loss to Sage College this morning, 25-6, 25-15, 25-16. The Gators move to 22-6 on the year while the Lynx drop to 0-18.

Leading the way for Lesley was junior Melvin Morales (Chelsea, Mass.) who finished with four kills while senior Sean Randall (Fremont, Calif.) had a team-high seven kills. Sophomore Herbin Berreondo (Brighton, Mass.) had a good day at the net, blocking three Sage attempts and assisting on one more. Freshman setter Jess Cherry (Lancaster, Pa.) had a team-high eight assists in the match.

The Gators were paced by senior setter Kyle Ray (Horseheads, NY) as he tallied 29 32 setting assists.  Junior Dylan Krowicki (Little Falls, NY) connected for seven kills with 10 digs. Senior middle hitter Spencer Hilland (Slingerlands, NY) added 10 kills, while junior Justin Pruiksma (Athens, NY) tallied eight kills.

Lesley will close out their season on Wednesday, April 3rd when they host NECC foe Daniel Webster College at 8:00p at Buckingham, Browne, and Nichols.
