Lesley drops first match back from spring break

BOSTON, Mass. - Zach Almeida-Beers (Rehoboth, Mass.) recorded a team-high nine kills, but his effort was not enough for the Lynx to defeat Emerson College as the Lions won 3-0 (24-30, 23-30, 25-30).  Lesley dropped to 2-16 (1-10 NECVA) on the season and will look to rebound at this Saturday's tri-match against Newbury College and Southern Vermont College.

Clayton Janer (Guilford, Conn.) and Almeida-Beers both recorded double-digit digs for the visiting Lynx as they tallied 12 and 11 digs, respectively.

Mike Jack (Buenos Aires, Argentina) put in a solid performance with six kills on 15 total attacks.  Setter Stephen Siragusa (Valley Stream, N.Y.) dished out 20 assists in the match.

On the front line, Almeida-Beers, Nick Assad (Andover, Mass.), and Tyler Reeves (Coventry, Conn.) all had two individual blocks.  Reeves added four kills and eight digs to an overall impressive effort.

Lesley travels to Newbury College on Saturday, March 21 to compete in a tri-match with Southern Vermont College starting at 11:00 am.
