CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Lesley University men's volleyball team suffered their ninth loss of the season at the hands of Elms College on Tuesday evening 3-0 (30-15, 30-13, 30-8).  Elms improved to 4-7 with the victory.

Lesley's Stephen Siragusa (Valley Stream, N.Y.) was the only Lynx player with a positive hit percentage in the match, drilling home five kills on 13 attacks.  Teammate Tyler Reeves (Coventry, Conn.) played well on the serve tallying three service aces on the match.

Elms had three players tie for a game-high seven kills as Sequiel Sanchez Velez (San Sebastian, Puerto Rico), Yonalvy Acosta (Holyoke, Mass.), and Alberto Bravo (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico) each held that honor.

Vincent Cruz (Harwinton, Conn.) was an effective blocker in the front row as the freshman registered one solo block and four block assists in the match.  Setter Ivan Andujar (Carolina, Puerto Rico) distributed the ball out to seven different teammates to the tune of 30 set assists.

The Lynx showed some life in the first set, maintaining pace with the visiting Blazers at 9-9 early in the match.  Elms would rally to win 12 of the next 14 points to regain momentum that they would not relinquish the rest of the match.

Lesley will travel to Southern Vermont College on Saturday to compete in a tri-match that includes Newbury College.  Elms will host a tri-match of their own on the same day against Wentworth Institute of Technology and Lasell College.
