Wildcats top Lynx 3-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Lesley University men's volleyball team was defeated by Johnson & Wales University on Monday evening 3-0 (30-12, 30-5, 30-10).  The Lynx suffered their third loss of the season while the Wildcats earned their first victory. 

Stephen Siragusa (Valley Stream, N.Y.) recorded five kills on 24 attacks and Nick Assad (Andover, Mass.) added four more kills in the loss.  Setter Clayton Janer (Guilford, Conn.) finished the match with eight set assists.

Johnson & Wales's Petar Yanakiev (Varna, Bulgaria) registered a game-highs in kills (11), service aces (7), and digs (6).  Robert Slough (Buffalo, N.Y.) also tallied double-digit kills with 10 without an error. 

Eric Minnich (Concord, Calif.) also gave a solid performance for the Wildcats with nine kills and setter Kory Helgensen (Bensalem, Pa.) finished with 31 set assists.

Lesley will be back in action on Wednesday at Endicott College starting at 7:00 pm.  Johnson & Wales will host Emmanuel College on the same day at 7:00 pm.
