Lynx drop match to Blazers 3-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Lesley University men's volleyball team was defeated by North East Collegiate Volleyball Association opponent Elms College on Thursday evening by the score of 3-0 (30-18, 30-11, 30-17). 

The Lynx were led by freshman Mike Labagh (Elizabethtown, Pa.) who finished the match with eight kills on 22 total attacks with just two errors.  He also had team-highs in digs and blocked shots as he tallied three and five respectively. 

Nick Assad (Andover, Mass.) and Scott Wheeler (East Hampton, Conn.) also had solid efforts.  Assad had four kills while Wheeler finished with three.

Setting for the Lynx was freshman Stephen Siragusa (Valley Stream, N.Y.) who had 11 assists on the game. 

With the loss, Lesley dropped to 0-9 (0-8 NECVA) while Elms improved their record to 5-3 (1-2 NECVA).

The next opponent for Lesley will be Emmanuel College on Thursday February 14 at 7:00 p.m. in Boston.  Elms will play in the Gothic Knight Invitational on Saturday February 9.
