GAME OVERVIEW:

QUINCY, MA. -- The Lesley Men's Soccer team dropped their third conference match of the season to the Eastern Nazarene Lions by a 4-0 score. The Lynx fall to 0-11-1 and 0-2-1 in the conference, while the Lions advance to 9-5 and 2-0 in the NECC.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • The Lynx got down early to self-inflicted wounds. Eastern Nazarene took a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute of the match on an own goal. The Lions were extremely aggressive in the first half, totaling 19 shots to Lesley's one.
  • The Lions snuck a second goal in right before halftime as Carlos Moya took a pass from Leon Zaffanato and sent a shot from outside of the box into the back of the net for his third goal of the season in the 44th minute.
  • Bryan Vargas extended the ENC lead in the 68th minute with his eighth goal of the season. Vargas's lefty shot got by Michael Bolduc off an assist by Leonardo Castro. ENC picked up one final goal in the 75th minute when Guillermo Garcia headed in a cross from Denser Martinez.
  • Daniel Monteserin led the Lynx in shots with three, while Castro led the other side with eight. Bolduc took the loss for Lesley, his seventh of the season, while Tyler Ferreira picked up his third win and a shutout.
