Lynx Drop Physical Match Against Fisher

GAME OVERVIEW:

CAMBRIDGE, MA. -- The Lesley Men's soccer team lost a hard fought battle with the Fisher College Falcons on Thursday night. The Lynx fall to 0-6 on the season, while the Falcons advance to 4-2.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • Both teams were deadlocked in the first half, each getting some good opportunities to score but failing. The Lynx looked their strongest early on, attacking the Fisher defense but could not find paydirt. They put four shots on Fisher goalie Rafael Fabra.
  • Fisher turned up the pace after halftime, finally finding a lucky chance in the 62nd minute. Federico Banuelos took a shot on Lynx goalie Michael Bolduc, which Bolduc was able to dflect but not secure, and Banuelos put the rebound in for the Falcons' first goal.
  • The Falcons added two more in the final minutes of the game, with Peter Ruiz assisting on both. Ruiz found Juan Pablo Villalobos slipping past a diving Bolduc for the second score and connected with Banuelos off a free kick for Banuelos' second goal.
  • Fabra earned his fourth win of the season, saving all five shots on goal taken by Lesley. Bolduc picked up his fourth loss of the year. Barry Mamadou led the Lynx with three shots, while Lorenzo Brugiati matched to lead the Falcons.
