Second Half Barrage Sinks Lynx Against Regis

GAME OVERVIEW:

WESTON, MA. -- The Lesley Men's soccer team lost their third match in a row on Wednesday afternoon, this time falling to Regis College by a score 4-0. The Lynx fall to 0-3 to start their season, while the Pride improve to 2-0.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • The Lynx put up their best half of the season theb egin the game. Their defense was strong, allowing only two shots on goalkeepr Michael Bolduc. Bolduc saved the only shot on goal. The Lynx offense generated five shots in the first half, with Ian Charles and Daniel Monteserin each getting two off.
  • The Pride were a bit wild in the first half, committing fourteen fouls over the first 45 minutes. Each team recorded a yellow card in the first half as well.
  • Regis came out of the gates firing in the second half. They limited the fouling and took over, shooting fifteen times and connecting for four goals in the final 45. Jacob Freitas earned a bookend brace, scoring the first and fourth goals for the Pride. Zack Acciardo scored the second on a penalty kick after being fouled in the box, while Santiago Pedraza Novak scored the third, assisted by Alfred Bresnahan.
  • Bolduc picked up his second loss of the season, while Regis goalkeeper Ivan Ramirez earned his first win. Charles led the Lynx with three shots, while Pedraza Novak led Regis with six.
