Assistant coach Pierre Sully began with the Lesley University men's basketball team in 2011.

Sully graduated from North Cambridge Catholic in 1999 and helped lead his team to two league titles and one state championship. He was named a member of the Catholic Suburban League All-Star Team.  He later attended Roxbury Community College and led his team to a No. 1 national ranking.  Sully has the record for most points scored in a game with (46) breaking the record previously held by former Providence College standout and New England basketball Hall of Famer Ron Jackson.  Sully was the team captain for his sophomore year and was named Second Team Junior College All-American and First Team All-Region XXI.

Sully then relocated to Franklin Pierce University where he was a two-year starter.  He was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Honor Roll eight times.  He later graduated from Franklin Pierce University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a minor in Social Work Counseling.

Overseas, Sully played professionally for the Tees Valley Mohawks in the United Kingdom and helped lead the team to the Patron Cup Finals. During his time in England, he used his professional status to teach basketball to the youth in different communities with the team's initiative, called Hoop Dreams.

Sully also played in the ABA with the Manchester Millrats in the team's inaugural season.

Prior to joining Lesley, Sully's coaching experience included being a graduate assistant at the University of South Florida for the men’s and women’s basketball teams. He helped with the academic success and development of USF's players along with their adjustment to the college lifestyle.
