MEDFORD, Mass. - Tufts University got contributions from all 15 players on their roster en route to a 40 point victory over Lesley University on Tuesday evening.  Thirteen of those players scored points as the Jumbos improved to 3-2, while the Lynx dropped to 2-5 on the season.

Tufts freshman Amauris Quezada (New York, N.Y.) led all scorers with 18 points in just 12 minutes on the court.  Quezada scored a majority of his points from beyond the arc as he netted four of his six three-point attempts.  Complementing Quezada's effort were Dan Cook (Dover, Mass.) and Jon Pierce (Belmont, Mass.) who both tallied 16 points in the victory.

For the Lynx, Jesus Trejo (Methuen, Mass.) once again led his squad in scoring with 17 points and almost recorded his third double-double of the season with nine rebounds.  Malcolm Andrews (Medford, Mass.) and Matt Grassa (Everett, Mass.) tied for the second highest point totals on the team with nine points a piece.

The first seven minutes of the game saw the Jumbos jump out to an 18-2 lead.  Tufts would stretch the lead out to as many as 29 points in the first half and went into halftime with a 48-21 advantage.

The second half told much of the same story as the Jumbos continued to be effective from the field, hitting 42.7% of their shots on the game.  Tufts was able to enhance their lead even further to record their largest margin of victory in nearly a decade.

Turnovers were an issue for the Lynx as their 27 miscues converted to 27 points for the Jumbos.  Tufts was also able to outscore Lesley off the bench with a 64-15 advantage.

Lesley will host their first home game of the 2008-2009 season on Thursday, December 4 at 8pm against Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
