QUINCY, Mass. - The Lesley University men's basketball team held a lead as large as 12 points in the second half against Eastern Nazarene College, but the Crusaders stormed back to defeat the Lynx 63-61.  The loss drops Lesley's record to 2-4 while Eastern Nazarene evens their early season record to 2-2.

With 33 seconds remaining and down two points, Crusaders junior guard Alex Carr (Middletown, Md.) was fouled on a made three-point shot and sunk the free throw to shock the Lynx.  Lesley's Jonathan Cruz (Haverhill, Mass.) missed a jumper with seconds left on the clock to end the game.

Carr led his team with 16 points and was complemented with three other double-digit scorers as teammates Jimmy Gray (West Columbia, S.C.), DeAngelo Brown (Columbia, S.C.), and DiAndre Brown (Sicklerville, N.J.) chipped in with 15, 12, and 12 points, respectively.

For the Lynx, center Malcolm Andrews (Medford, Mass.) scored a game-high 17 points on 7-of-14 from the floor including one three-pointer.  Andrews was active on the boards grabbing six defensive and one offensive boards.

Jesus Trejo (Methuen, Mass.) was a flawless shooter as the sophomore hit all seven of his shots from the floor, good for 16 points.  Trejo also grabbed nine rebounds in the loss.  Cruz was the only other Lynx ballers in double-digit points with 15.

Lesley was down by as many as seven points in the first half, but a 11-2 run to gave the Lynx a 35-29 lead at the break.

The Lynx dominated points in the paint, outscoring the Crusaders 30-12.  Eastern Nazarene, however, got significant contributions off their bench with 21 points compared to zero points from Lesley.

The next game for the Lynx will be Monday, December 1 at 7:00 pm against Tufts University.  Eastern Nazarene will face Wheelock College on December 2 starting at 7:00 pm.
