Lesley dominates Castleton State by 44 points

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Lesley got a season high 29 points out of Stanley Chamblain (Everett, Mass.) and dismantled Castleton State College 110-66 for their second straight conference win.

Lesley was absolutely lights out from three-point range as they shot 50% in the second half and 42% for the game from way downtown.  Chamblain hit on 6-10 from three point range.  Sam Mead (Worthing, ENGLAND) scored a career high 17 points and was an impressive 4-6 from three point range.

The Lynx had five players in double figures, the aforementioned Chamblain and Mead along with Joseph Chatman (Boston, Mass.), James Parker (Sandwich, Mass.) and Malcolm Andrews (Medford, Mass.) who finished with 17, 12 and 10 points respectively.

The Spartans were led by Joey Farley (Fairlee, Vt.) who had 24 points and 6 rebounds and Matt Tomaino (Utica, N.Y.) who had 17 points and 7 rebounds.  Jeremy Jorgensen (Fairlee, Vt.) added a game high 10 rebounds for the Spartans.

Lesley used its speed and athleticism to completely overwhelm the Spartans.  The Lynx were led on defense by Chatman and Kervens Desravines (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) who both had a game high 6 steals.  Overall the Lynx had 28 steals and forced 41 Spartan turnovers.

The Lynx jumped out to an early lead but Castleton was able to keep it close.  Lesley led at the half by just 6, 46-40.  However, that would quickly change and five minutes into the second half Lesley found themselves up 14.  Things would get only worse for the Spartans as Lesley exploded to a 24 point lead with 10 minutes left in the game.  Lesley would continue to pile it on en route to the blow out.

With the win the Lynx improve to 5-4 on the season and 3-2 in conference play.  The Lynx travel on Tuesday, December 12th to Westfield State College.  For more information on the Lesley men's basketball team please go to their website.
