Lynx squander halftime lead against Lasers

NEWTON, Mass. - Joe Chatman poured in a game-high 35 pints, but it was not enough.  Lesley blew a two point halftime lead and lost to Lasell College 89-78.  It was the second win for Lasell against Lesley this season.

James Parker (Sandwich, Mass.) had his third double-double of the season for the Lynx.  Malcolm Andrews (Medford, Mass.) and Mark Stevens (Las Vegas, Nev.) added 10 and 8 points respectively.

Lasell was led by Jamie Crawford (Coral Springs, Fla.) who scored 28 points, and shot a staggering 7-10 from three-point range.  Brad Carvoulias (Dracut, Mass.), Jose Guitian (Miami, Fla.), Jude Biton (Philadelphia, Pa.), and Chris Brookens (Boston, Mass.) added 16, 14, 10 and 10 points respectively for the Lasers.

Lesley led at the half 40-38.  However, Lasell shot a remarkable 8-14 (57%) from deep in the second half.  Lesley found itself down just three with 12:14 remaining.  That would change very quickly as Lasell exploded on an 11-0 run over the next three minutes.  The run by Lasell effectively KO'd the Lynx.

With the loss the Lynx drop to 8-9 overall and 5-5 in the NAC.  For more information on the Lesley men's basketball team please go to their website.
