Coast Guard sinks Lesley 99-76

NEW LONDON, Conn. - Jeff Prebeck scored a game high 25 points and grabbed a game high 15 rebounds as The Coast Guard Academy rolled over Lesley University 99-76.  Prebeck got a lot of support from Al Sowers and Grant Johnson who chimed in with 24 and 20 points respectively.

The Lynx who's high powered offense is currently 8th in the nation in scoring struggled to get into the flow of the game.  The Lynx shot a meager 29.6% from three-point range, one of their strengths.

Lesley was led on offense by Mark Stevens (Las Vegas, Nev.), James Parker (Sandwich, Mass.) and Joe Chatman (Boston, Mass.) who had 16, 14, and 12 points respectively.  Chatman chipped in with a game high 5 assists.  Stanley Chamblain (Everett, Mass.) added nine points of his own and a team best nine rebounds.

Lesley looks to get back to its winning ways when it hosts Colby College on Saturday, January 7th at BB&N.  For more information on the Lesley men's basketball team please go to their website.
