Lynx runners again earn all four NECC weekly honors

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- For the second straight week, Lesley cross country runners earned New England Collegiate Conference Men's and Women's Runner of the Week and both NECC Rookie of the Week honors.

Senior Keryn Thorvaldsen was named NECC Women's Runner of the Week, Max Bulger earned Men's Runner of the Week, Emilia McGrath was named Woman's Rookie of the Week, and Andrew Scott took home the Men's Rookie of the Week award.

Thorvaldsen led the Lynx by placing 29th out of 453 runners with a time of 23:34 over the 6k track at Saturday's James Early Invitationaly hosted by Westfield State, leading Lesley to a 13th place finish out of 43 teams.

Bulger led the way for the Lesley men, finishing in 33rd place out of 429 runners at 27:16 on the 8k course, leading the men to a 10th place finish out of 40 teams at Westfield State.

McGrath earned her second straight Rookie of the Week honor, finishing 187th out of 453 at 26:26 on the 6k course.

Scott's Men's Runner of the Week award is his second, as he finished 64th out of 249 with a time of 27:54 for the 8k event.

Lesley returns to the course on Saturday, October 27 at the NECC Championships.
