Bulger, Scott, Thorvaldsen earn weekly cross country honors

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Lesley cross country runners Max Bulger, Andrew Scott and Keryn Thorvaldsen were honored by the NECC for their performances at last weekend's Trinity Invitational.

Bulger earned his first NECC Runner of the Week honors after leading the men's team with a time of 17:25 on a 5k course. The time was good for a 15th place finish out of 104 Division I, II and III runners.

On the women's side, Thorvaldsen earned her own Runner of the Week accolade after finishing with a time of 17:19 on the 4k course at Trinity, placing 5th in a field of 84 runners from all Divisions of the NCAA.

Scott, a junior in his first season running collegiately, finished 22nd out of 104 with a time of 17:37 on the 5k course, locking up his first NECC Rookie of the Week award.

Bulger, Thorvaldsen and Scott return to action on Saturday at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational in North Dartmouth, MA.
