Lynx women 23rd, men 31st at NCAA Regionals

BRUNSWICK, ME -- Lesley women's cross country raced to a program-best 23rd-place finish out of 51 teams, and the men finished in 31st place out of 48 teams at NCAA New England Regionals hosted by Bowdoin College.

New England Collegiate Conference Runner of the Year Leah Miller again led the Lynx, finishing in 97th place out of 353 of New England's finest runners at 23:52. Running in her final collegiate race, senior All-NECC teamer Elize McKelvey finished in 118th place, coming in at 24:07. Fellow All-NECC honorees Ana Lutkevich clocked in at 24:12, and Keryn Thorvaldsen finished the challenging course at 24:40, good for 126th and 157th, respectively.

On the men's side, Kyle Casiglio, who finished second at NECC's two weeks ago, paced the Lynx at 118th with a time of 27:05. All-NECC First Teamer Chris Conforti followed four seconds later at 27:09, good for 125th out of 322 runners in the men's field. Max Bulger rounded out a trio of Lynx in the top 200, finishing 188th at 28:18.

At the top of the team finishes were some of the nation's best teams. No. 3 nationally-ranked Middlebury defeated No. 1 Williams for the women's team crown by just five points, while in the men's race the No. 7 Ephs returned the favor, defeating No. 16 Middlebury by one point for the men's title.
