CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Lesley University cross country runner Kyle Casiglio was named New England Collegiate Conference Runner of the Week and freshman Evan Reseska was named NECC Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Casiglio finished 18th out of 220 runners with a time of 27:55 on the 8k course at Gordon College's Pop Crowell Invitational. The Lynx finished in sixth out of 22 teams, the program's best-ever finish at the Crowell.

For Casiglio, the 2010 NECC Runner of the Year, this marks his second Runner of the Week award of 2011.

Reseska finished at 28:26 at the Pop Crowell, good for 31st place out of 220 runners. The freshman helped lead Lesley to a sixth-place finish out of 22 teams.

Casiglio, Reseska and the Lynx run again at the NEICAAA New England Championship on Saturday at Boston's Franklin Park.
