CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Lesley University cross country runner Caroline McCormack was named New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week and Leah Miller was named NECC Runner of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Miller set a Lesley for best finish at Gordon College's Pop Crowell Invitational by finishing in sixth place out of 270 runners, leading the Lynx to a program-record fifth-place finish out of 26 teams at the Crowell.

For Miller, it is her second NECC Runner of the Week award of 2011.

McCormack, meanwhile, earned her first Rookie of the Week honor with a time of 24:24, good for 169th out of 270 at the Pop Crowell.

Miller, McCormack and the Lynx run again on Saturday at the NEICAAA New England Championship in Boston's Franklin Park.
