Cross country teams turn in records at Pop Crowell

WENTHAM, MA -- Both Lesley cross country teams ran to record finishes Saturday morning at the Pop Crowell Invitational hosted by Gordon College.

The Lynx men took sixth out of 21 teams, while the women's team placed fifth out of 26 teams.

Lesley's Kyle Casiglio finished 18th out of 220 runners to lead the Lynx men, finishing at 27:55 for the 8k course. Max Bulger shaved 2:30 of his time in last year's Pop Crowell, coming in 29th at 28:26, the same time turned in today by Lesley freshman Evan Reseska

On the women's side, Leah Miller came in sixth place out of 270 runners with a time of 19:29. Senior Elize McKelvey finished her final Pop Crowell in 18th place, at 20:11, junior Noa Kupfer followed in 48th place at 20:46, and Keryn Thorvaldsen turned in her personal best for a 5k course, at 20:56 and 54th place, one second behind Lesley's Kat Vicino, who finished 53rd.

The Lynx return to action next Saturday at noon in the NEICAAA New England Championship in Boston's Franklin Park.
