CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Lesley University runners Ana Lutkevich and Kyle Casiglio have been named New England Collegiate Conference Cross Country Freshmen of the Week.

Lutkevich led Lesley with a time of 19:32 at the 38th Annual UMass-Dartmouth Shriners Invitational on Saturday, good for an average mile of 6:18 and 47th place in a field of 290. She established a new Lesley women's cross country record for best time on a 5k course.

On the 8k track, Lesley's Kyle Casiglio led coach Dan Flynn's team with a time of 26:35, finishing 79th in a field of 272. The freshman ran an average mile of 5:21, sending Lesley to a 28th place finish in the 36-team field.

Lutkevich and Casiglio lead the Lynx into action Saturday morning at the Codfish Bowl in Boston's Franklin Park.
