Cross Country Takes 17th, 28th at UMass-Dartmouth

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA – Lesley women's cross country captured 17th place out of 39 teams and the Lynx men's team took 28th out of 36 teams at the 38th Annual UMass-Dartmouth Shriners Invitational Saturday morning.

Ana Lutkevich led Lesley with a time of 19:32 on the 5k course, good for an average mile of 6:18 and 47th place in a field of 290. Leah Miller followed, at 87th, with a time of 20:10 and an average mile of 6:30. Sophomore Noa Kupfer finished 94th, at 20:18, and Kat Vicino finished four seconds later, in 100th place.

On the 8k track, Lesley's Kyle Casiglio led coach Dan Flynn's team with a time of 26:35. Chris Conforti followed, in 169th place, at 28:49. Brian Axelrod rounded out a trio of Lynx in the top 200, finishing at 29:41 and in 200th place.

Lesley next runs in the Codfish Bowl in Boston's Franklin Park on Saturday, September 25 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
