With record times, Lynx blaze through Pop Crowell

WENHAM, MA - Records were broken by both the Lesley men and women cross country teams at the Pop Crowell Invitational, held on the campus of Gordon College, and both teams once again finished ahead of rival New England Collegiate Conference schools.

On the men's side, Kyle Casiglio (Lexington, MA/Arlington Catholic) ran a time of 27:04, the fastest time on this course ever run by a Lesley man.

Freshman Chris Conforti (Brattleboro, VT/Brattleboro Union) and Brian Axelrod (Rivervale, N.J./Pascack Valley) crossed the finish line in 49th and 78th place, respective with times of 28:45 and 29:55.

The Lesley women placed eighth out of 26 teams, their best finish as a team in the history of running this event. Noa Kupfer (Woodbridge, CT/Amity Regional) was one of the top runners in a competitive field once again, finishing in 15th place with a time of 19:55.

Ana Lutkevich (Mansfield, MA/Mansfield) placed 19th and finished right behind Kupfer with a time of 20:01.

Lesley will next race at the Saints Invitational on Friday, October 15th starting at 4:00pm at Franklin Park.
