Cusick and Goff retain ROTW titles

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - After their success at the Blazer Invitational, the Lesley University cross-country team had two runners recognized by the North Atlantic Conference as Runners of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Freshman Charlotte Goff (Osterville, Mass.) and junior Francis Cusick (Lexington, Mass.) both finished in second place in their respective races over the weekend.  Goff added to her already impressive freshman resume as she finished with a time of 21:01 in the 5K race.  She led the women's team to a victory at the Blazer Invitational with a team score of 67 defeating conference opponents Johnson State College (103) and Mount Ida College (136).

Cusick once again showed why he is a force in the NAC by crossing the finish line with an amazing time of 29:39 in the men's 8K race.  His efforts lead the men to another impressive showing at the invitational meet.

Goff and Cusick will look to continue their recent success on Saturday, September 29 at the Pop Crowell Invitational at Gordon College.  For more information on the Lesley University cross-country team, please visit their website.
