Cusick and Goff earn NAC Runners of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Francis Cusick (Lexington, Mass.) and Charlotte Goff (Osterville, Mass.) were honored by the North Atlantic Conference for their accomplishments this past week in cross country.

Cusick was named Men's Runner of the Week by the NAC after his impressive finished at the UMASS Dartmouth Invitational held on Saturday, September 15, 2007.  He finished with a time of 27:23 to the Lynx.

Goff, a freshman for the women's team, earned Rookie of the Week honors as she scorched the competition with a time of 21:13.  The meet was just her second of her young career.

Head Coach Dan Flynn beamed over his runner's accomplishments saying, "Their dedication and hard work has been tremendous.  Every day at practice Frannie and Charlotte show the desire to improve their racing ability and it's great to see their efforts recognized.  I know that if they continue to work hard, they will only continue to get better and become dominant runners in the NAC."

Cusick and Goff will look to continue their recent success in their next meet at the Harrier Classic on Saturday, September 22, 2007.
