Nangle Represents Lesley at NCAA Division III East Regional Women's Cross Country Championship

CONTOOCOOK, N.H. - Lesley University senior women's cross country student-athlete Hannah Nangle (Lowell, Mass.) ran in the 2024 NCAA Division III East Regional Championship Saturday and posted an 87th place finish in a field of 224 runners.

For Nangle, she is the first Lynx runner to compete in the race since 2017. Only Lesley, Husson, and UMaine-Farmington were the only three schools representing the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) at Saturday's race. Out of the 13 runners from the NAC, Nangle finished fourth.

Nangle crossed the finish line at 24:56.3, and it marked the third time this year she has finished with a sub-25-minute time on the year for a 6k course. When asked about what it meant to compete in today's race, Nangle was proud of the effort she put in. "The race was a great experience, and I really loved the energy," said Nangle. "I Felt strong throughout and very grateful to run this event. I haven't been in a race or competition at this level since before COVID, and it was really special to return to it. I'm very happy with the conclusion of my time with Lesley Athletics, but I've learned a lot over the years, and I'm looking forward to what's next!"

In her four-year career with the Lynx, Nangle earned many postseason honors, including NECC Runner of the Year in her sophomore year while winning a conference title. She helped Lesley earn two NECC Conference Championships (2021 and 2022) and was also a two-time NECC All-Conference First Team honoree. When Lesley moved to the NAC, Nangle earned NAC Second Team All-Conference accolades while also being named NAC Runner of the Week for the week of Sept. 5, 2023.
