THE LEAD –  The Lynx dropped both games against Maine Maritime, falling to 0-10 on the season. Game 2 was recorded as a forfeit on Lesley after they were unable to continue the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Mariners opened up the first set dominating the Lynx, with 16 unanswered points.
• The Lynx tried to battle back but ultimately lost 25-3.
• Lesley opened up the second set with the first point of the match. The lead was short lived when the Mariners retaliated with a 12 point run. Lesley lost the set 25-4.
• The third set started in a similar fashion, Maritime opening up with four points. Lesley had four points on the set, one of which coming from a kill by Emma Welch. The Mariners went on another 10 point streak to win the set 25-4.
• Game 2 – Game two was forfeited to the Mariners as Lesley was unable to participate in the match.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Welch recorded two kills and three digs on the match.  
• Ila Smith recorded eleven kills for the Mariners.
