THE LEAD – The Lynx drop to 0-2 on the season after taking the loss on this afternoons matchup against Salem State.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Vikings came out of the gate with 12 points straight from Mackenzie Huburt, giving the Vikings a very early lead on the set.
• After a pair of errors on Salem and a service ace from Emma Welch the Lynx gained three points on the match making a small dent in the Vikings lead.
• The Vikings went on an eight-point run and solidified their first set win.
• At the start of the second set the Lynx kept within two points of Salem until the Vikings went on a ten-point run. Lesley put up one other point on the set, losing 25-4.
• The third set started in a similar fashion, the Lynx fighting back until the Vikings pull ahead and grab the win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• The Lynx recorded 11 kills on the match, seven kills higher than the teams total of their last game.
•  Emma Welch recorded six kills on the match, a career high for the sophomore. As well as five digs.
• Rookie Sinead Thomas also contributed another three digs for the Lynx.
