Lesley Sweeps Salem State, 3-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Lesley Women's Volleyball team earned its second straight win as it swept Salem State, 3-0, Saturday afternoon at the Nicholas Athletic Center.  The Lynx edged the Vikings by set scores of 25-23, 27-25, and 25-22. Lesley picked up 46 kills on a .241 hitting percentage, while forcing 10 Salem State errors.  The close match up brought both teams to a 2-3 record on their young seasons. 

The Lynx were lead offensively by Kaylee Deluga with 14 kills, Annie Abbruzzese with 10 kills, and Cassidy Wygonik with 9 kills. "I feel great," said senior captiain Kaylee Deluga.  "We are a really deep team with great team chemistry, and just pulled it together. I'm really proud of everyone,"  she continued.  Ashley Keeney and Allie Charron set up the offense combining for 33 assists on the night.

Abbruzzesse had her second double double in as many games, tallying 11 digs to complement her 10 kills to round out a stellar week for her to start the season. The Vikings had many contributors to add to their stat columns, but were lead offensively by Chloe Roy with 7 kills, and Mackenzie Salls with 6 digs to stop the Lynx from scoring. 

Lesley next travels to Anna Maria on Thursday September 14th for a 7pm start.
